Ingredients :

  • 300 g pasta (penne, fusilli or macaroni)
  • 400 g tomato coulis
  • 200 g of Mozzarella grated or sliced
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 100 g of ham or bacon (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Preparation (approximately 30 minutes):

  1. Preheat your oven at 200°C (thermostat 6-7).
  2. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package directions, until al dente. Drain them and reserve.
  3. Prepare the tomato sauce:
    • In a pan, heat the olive oil.
    • Saute the sliced ​​onion and chopped garlic until translucent.
    • Add the tomato coulis, salt, pepper and simmer for 10 minutes. You can add Provence herbs or basil for more flavor.

  4. Mix the pasta with the tomato sauce in a large bowl or directly in the pan if it is large enough.
  5. Pour the mixture in a previously oiled gratin dish.

  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
