Nothing says “summer” like homemade ice cream. Our strawberry and vanilla ice cream recipe is easy to make and incredibly delicious.

Ingredients :

  • 500g strawberries
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 200g of sugar
  • 300ml of whole liquid cream

Wash and hull the strawberries. Mix them with 100g of sugar to obtain a coulis. Book.

2. Preparation of the vanilla cream

Split the vanilla pod in half and collect the seeds. In a saucepan, heat the liquid cream with the rest of the sugar and the vanilla seeds. Let cool.

3. Combination of the two preparations

Mix the strawberry coulis and the vanilla cream. Place the mixture in an ice cream maker and follow the machine’s instructions.

If you don’t have an ice cream maker, put the mixture in an airtight container and place it in the freezer. Stir every 30 minutes for the first 3 hours to prevent crystals from forming.

Leave your ice cream in the freezer for at least 5 hours, or until it is firm.
